Danny Lynn Thompson, the son of LeRoy and Grace (Egemo) Thompson, was born
February 24, 1956 in Clarion. He grew up in Hardy, Iowa and attended school at
Vernon.
After high school, he helped his dad on the farm for a while. He then attended
Lincoln Technical Institute becoming a certified mechanic. He worked at Pat
Clemen's dealership before moving back to the area and began working at
Electrolux in Webster City.
He was united in marriage to Christine Schaffer on December 28, 1985 in Renwick,
Iowa. The family raised their children in Goldfield. Danny loved being a family
man and cherished the time he got to spend with them. They took many trips to
the family cabin at Long Lake, went on countless camping trips and had a
memorable family vacation in Mexico.
During his free time, Danny was a woodworker and enjoyed refinishing furniture.
He enjoyed tinkering and his daily car rides. Danny was a strong advocate for
helping find a cure for Alzheimer's. He was an active participant in an
Alzheimer's Research Group for eight years with his last generous gift of
donating his brain for further research develop. If Danny could do anything to
prevent his children and grandchildren from suffering he would.

wrestling skills.
