Obituary


Darlene Ann Baker, 54, passed away Saturday, September 19, 1992 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Mason City, Iowa.

Darlene, the daughter of Dale and Alice (McManus) Busick, was born May 3, 1938 at Belmond, Iowa.  She graduated from Belmond High School in 1956.  Following graduation she was employed with the Banker's Life Company in Des Moines and later with the Leland Jenison Company in Belmond.

On September 2, 1961 she was united in marriage with Donovan Baker.  The couple farmed near Kanawha moving to their present farm in 1964 where they have since resided.

Darlene was an active and faithful member of St. John's Lutheran Church near Kanawha.  She enjoyed her family, grandchildren, bowling, golf and the family fishing trips.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers.

Survivors include her husband, Donovan of Kanawha; two sons: Darron and his wife Shellie of Clarion; Damon at home; two grandchildren; Derek and Jaclyn; three sisters: Shirlene Ulrich of Klemme, Iowa; Rosetta Busick of Clarion, Iowa; Ramae and her husband, Eddie Schuver of Goodell, Iowa; four brothers: Donald of Forest City, Iowa; Darwin and his wife Joan of Haverhill, MA; Kenny and his wife Carol of Mason City, Iowa; Doug and his wife Nancy of Britt.
