David Zeigler, 70, of Corwith passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at his home in rural Corwith, Iowa.

Funeral services for David Zeigler will be held Monday, March 16, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church 517 South East Elm Street in Corwith with Pastor Denise Lindemann officiating.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Britt.

David James Zeigler was born on September 6, 1949 to Maxine and Dale Zeigler of Corwith.

He was baptized on February 19, 1950 and confirmed on May 17, 1964 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Corwith.

As a young man, he enjoyed hunting and trapping, horseback riding, fishing and getting into mischief in the grove with his siblings and neighbor kids and cousins.

On June 12, 1980, David was united in marriage to Blanche Weaver of Eagle Grove. They met at the Eagle Grove Sale Barn and were brought together by their mutual love of horses. The couple was blessed with one daughter, Angela, in 1984.

David worked at Boone Valley Implement for over 30 years as a small engines mechanic. Fixing things was something he took great joy in. David devoted his time off to his family and spent his final years caring for his mother. He loved spending time with his daughter and grandson, fishing with friends, and happily working on his many projects.

He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. But his memory and wisdom will live on forever in the hearts and minds of those he touched.

David is survived by his daughter Angela Zeigler of Humboldt; grandson Zayne Zeigler; mother Maxine Zeigler; brother Ronald Zeigler; two sisters Nelda (Kelly) Jackson and Amber (Steve) Soria; and numerous other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father Dale and wife Blanche.
