Obituary
DeDee Anderson, 90, longtime resident of Kanawha passed away, September 26, 2013 at the Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna, Minnesota.
Andrée Henriette Georgette Baruzier the daughter of André Emile Jules Baruzier and Gabrielle Ringuenoir Baruzier was born on June 17, 1923 in Saint Prest, France.
She was united in marriage with Lester M. Anderson on December 1, 1945 in Paris, France. They moved to Kanawha, Iowa in 1948. DeDee worked at Carter’s Furniture Store for four years and then she and Lester purchased Anderson Department Store and ran it from 1965 until 1986.
DeDee is survived by one son, Christian Anderson and his wife Sandra of Owatonna, Minnesota; three grandchildren: Michelle Cousins and her husband, Gregory of Waseca, Minnesota, Anthony Anderson of Wallkill, New York; Angela Brown and her husband Ryan of Owatonna, Minnesota; four great grandchildren: Ethan and Mason Cousins and Dylan and Tyler Brown. She also has many nieces and nephews from France.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one brother and one sister.
A private family burial is planned at a later date.
