Obituary
Diane Katherine Quigley, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026, at MorningStar Memory Care of Fountain Hills, Arizona.
Graveside Services will be Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Francis Catholic Cemetery in Belmond.
She was born on March 23, 1941, in Mason City, Iowa, to Bert and Angela DuSold. Diane grew up in Mason City and graduated with the Class of 1959. She continued her education at Mason City Junior College (NIACC) before earning her degree from Drake University in 1963 in the College of Education. She began her career as a teacher, sharing her love of learning with students in Osage and Des Moines, Iowa.
On August 22, 1964, Diane married her college sweetheart, Eugene “Gene” Quigley, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mason City. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and enduring love. Diane had a deep love for her family, her flowers, and her dogs. She often fondly recalled meeting Gene in a poetry class during junior college, a story she treasured and shared often. She found beauty in simple moments and would often handwrite a poem or meaningful saying that touched her heart.
Diane was a devoted stay-at-home mother who poured her heart into raising her children and creating a warm, loving home. Later, she worked side by side with her son Timothy at TQ Diamonds in Madison, Wisconsin, from 1987 until Gene’s retirement in 1999, a time she deeply cherished.
In retirement, Diane and Gene embraced life fully and eventually settled in Fountain Hills, Arizona. She remained active and engaged, enjoying line dancing, gardening, church activities, and time with her winter visitor group and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gene; her daughter, Tracy (Mark Zoske) of Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin; her son, Timothy (Kimberly) Quigley of Middleton, Wisconsin; and her cherished grandchildren, Tanner Quigley, Taryn Quigley, and Taylor Semenic.
A funeral service will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Community in Scottsdale, Arizona, on Wednesday, March 25th at noon. Burial will take place at the Catholic Cemetery in Belmond, Iowa. Her presence will be dearly missed and forever held in the hearts of her family and friends.
