Obituary


D'Loras Margaret Price, 80, passed away Monday, December 22, 1997 in her sleep at her home in Britt.

D'Loras, the daughter of Frank and Gaylena (Hunt) Payne, was born May 16, 1917 at Eldora, Iowa.  At a early age she moved with her parents to Garner.  D'Loras graduated from Garner High School with the class of 1934.  She was united in marriage with Charles David Price in Algona on May 15, 1937.  The couple made theit made in Wesley.  D'Loras worked at the Wesley Hillside Golf Course and the Boughton Funeral Home.  Following the death of her husband in 1973 she moved to Britt where she was employed for 27 years with John Brock's Ben Franklin Store and for the past two years at Bill's Family Foods in Garner.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary and Rebahak Lodge.  She enjoyed playing Bingo and doing needle work.  D'Loras was especially a friend to many young people in Britt.

She is survived by a daughter Jean and husband Valgene Hansen of Cedar Falls, three sons: William and wife Sandra of Fertile; James and wife Marcia of Westminister, Colorado; and Donald of Britt; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, two sisters: Ardean and husband Curtis Rasmussen of Garner and Charlotte Hopes of Britt.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother and her husband Charles in 1973.
