Donna Reiland, 82, of Ankeny, formerly of Clarion, passed away September 22, 2012, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services for Donna Reiland will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at the Clarion Church of Christ, 420 North Main Street, in Clarion with Pastor Warren Curry officiating. Burial will follow at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Clarion.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2012, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Ewing Funeral Home, 602 North Main Street, in Clarion and will continue one hour prior to services at the church. Donna Deloris Reiland was born on May 25, 1930, in Clarion to Jesse and Winifred (Innis) Spitler. After graduating from high school in 1947, she began working for Charlie Hansen at Central Insurance. On June 23, 1951, she married Carroll Reiland in Eagle Grove. In the early 1970's, she left the insurance company to become a homemaker and take care of their five children. Donna was a past member of Clarion Church of Christ and enjoyed bird watching, sewing, crafting, attending children's school activities, morning coffee with her friends, Festival in the Park, First Citizens bus trips, concerts and music, especially big band vocalists and country music. In 2011 Donna moved to Sunny View Care Center in Ankeny, after spending her entire life in Clarion. She enjoyed her time there and was very involved in the various activities they had. Donna is survived by her children, Gene (Gina) Reiland of Eureka, Illinois, Steve (Karleen) Reiland of Clarion, Iowa, Pam (Chris) Chapman of Ankeny, Iowa, Brenda Reiland of Iowa Falls, Iowa and Tom (Julie) Reiland of Ankeny, Iowa and grandchildren, Andrew Reiland of Ankeny, Iowa, Matthew Reiland of Clarion, Iowa, Megan Reiland of Ankeny, Iowa and Lauren Reiland of Ankeny, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband in 1990.
