Obituary


Dorotha A. "Dottie" Tegtmeyer, 78, of Wesley passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2001, at her home near Wesley.

Dottie, the daughter of Edward and Eda (Benson) Norris, was born March 22, 1923, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.  Dottie grew up in Cape Girardeau where she received her education and graduated from Cape Girardeau High School.  Dottie later moved to Chicago, Illinois with her mother, and was employed with Kemper Insurance.

Dottie was united in marriage with Louis Tegtmeyer in Blytheville, Arkansas on March 26, 1944.  After Louis was discharged from the U.S. Army the couple moved to their farm near Britt.

Dottie was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Britt.  She enjoyed playing cards, crafting, painting, and listening to music.

Dottie is survived by her husband Louis of Wesley; two sons: Rick Tegtmeyer and his wife Barb, of Britt, Randy Tegtmeyer and his wife Natalie, of Blairsburg; four grandsons: Shane Tegtmeyer and his wife Barb, Brad Tegtmeyer and his wife, Christy, Tyler and Bryce Tegtmeyer; three granddaughters: Betsy, Melissa and Jenna Tegtmeyer; and three great-grandchildren: Andy, Ashley, and Alyssa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, two sons, and one great-granddaughter.
