Obituary


Dorothy M.  Froyen 94, of Clarion passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2008 at Wright Medical Center in Clarion.

Funeral services for Dorothy Froyen will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 21, 2008 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Clarion with Rev. Chris Podhajsky, Deacon Leonard Froyen and Deacon Michael Whitters officiating.  Burial will take place at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Clarion.

Visitation for Dorothy Froyen will be held from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 20, 2008 where a Rosary will be said at 4:00 p.m. and a Scriptural Wake Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Visitation is at the Ewing Dugger Funeral Home, 602 North Main Street, in Clarion and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.

Dorothy Marie Junglen was born August 26, 1913 in Frazee, Minnesota to the late Casper and Mary (Prem) Junglen.  She married Arthur Frederick Froyen on August 19, 1933.  

She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society as well as Navy Mothers.  

Dorothy is survived by her sons: Leonard Arthur (Gail) and Gary Thomas (Ann Renee Lighter) of Cedar Falls, Richard Gordon (Gloria) of Ventura, California and Curtis John (Kathleen) of Knoxville, Iowa; grandchildren: Scott Froyen (Melanie) of Ankeny, Barbara Nebel (Peter) of Urbandale, Brett Froyen of Cedar Falls, Eric Froyen of Sacramento, California, Kylie Froyen of Ventura, California, Tara Thomas (Chris) of Newbury Park, California, Anne Mowery (Brendan) of Madison, Wisconsin and Laura Froyen of South Bend, Indiana; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great grandsons; 1 brother and 3 sisters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 son, 5 brothers; 5 sisters.
