Elaine Hartzell

Elaine Hartzell, 89, of Britt, died Thursday, October 21, 2004, at Oakwood Care Center in Clear Lake.

Grace Elaine Hartzell, the daughter of Clarence and Lottie (Ellsworth) Hartzell, was born August 30, 1915, in Britt.  Elaine continued to reside in Britt until 1980, when she became a resident of Duncan Heights Care Facility of rural Garner.  She later became a resident of Oakwood Care Center in Clear Lake.

Elaine was a member of the United Methodist Church in Britt.

Elaine is survived by one sister Marge Darling of Mesa, Arizona; one brother-in-law Thain Klass of Fort Dodge; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Lottie Hartzell; three sisters: Zola Phy, Frances Gast, and Betty Klass; and one brother Clarence Hartzell, Jr.
