Obituary
Elaine L. Drabek, 75, of Britt, Iowa passed away Tuesday, February 29, 2000.
Elaine, the daughter of Tony and Helen Carman was born November 2, 1924 in Mason City. She attended and graduated from Mason City schools. Following graduation she worked for Western Union in Clinton, Missouri and Hutchinson, Kansas at which time she met Tomy.
Tomy and Elaine were married October 18, 1945 in Hutchinson, Kansas; shortly after they made their home in Britt and remained for their 54 year of marriage.
Elaine was a loving mother, wife and friend. Following the raising of their three children she was employed at Winnebago Industries (Stitchcraft) in Forest City until her retirement in 1987.
Elaine was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Britt, and Catholic Workman Branch #51 of Duncan. She enjoyed a good book, soft music, crocheting, and excursions with her lady friends.
Elaine is survived by her husband, Tomy of Britt; son Donald and his wife, Robbie of Seattle, Washington; daughter Pamela and her husband Steve Burger of Kennewick, Washington; three grandchildren, Tony and Jennifer of Sumner, Iowa and Sara of Kennewick, Washington.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter Renee.
