Obituary
Eldon L. Olson, 60, of Britt, Iowa passed away Saturday, September 18, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family.
A memorial service for Eldon Olson will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at 10:30 AM at First Lutheran Church in Britt with Pastor Lee Nelson officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Britt.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, September, 21, 2010 from 5-7 PM at Ewing Funeral Home, 178 Center Street West, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
Eldon LeRoy Olson was born on August 11, 1950 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Harold and Gudrun (Vinnece) Olson. He attended Humboldt High School.
Eldon and Marcia (Peterson) were married November 26, 1967 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Humboldt, Iowa. Eldon worked for Con-Agra for over 20 years and had recently been with Fairmont Food for 9 years.
Eldon is survived by his wife, Marcia; daughter Christine (Mark) Everett; son Curt (Brandy) Olson; daughter Karla (Jeremy) Penning; and daughter Keri (Johnathan) Sherman; four grandchildren: Brooke, Brittany, Tyler and Jacob; three sisters: Harriet (Lloyd) Stith, Sharon (Lee) Ciccotelli and Norine (Mike) Brown; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and infant brother.
