Obituary
Elizabeth G. Rose, 93, passed away Thursday, Septemeber 3, 1992 at her home in Crystal Lake, Iowa.
Elizabeth, the daughter of George and Susie (Harris) Ragan, was born September 12, 1898 on a farm northwest of Crystal Lake. She received her education in Forest City and graduated in 1917 second highest in her class.
On November 5, 1919, she was united in marriage with Howard Rose at Buffalo Center. The couple made their home on the farm where she was born.
She was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Crystal Lake, the American Legion Auxiliary 4-H, and school activities. She enjoyed gardening and raising flowers.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Howard; one sister and two brothers.
Survivors include her, son Walter and wife Marjorie of Crystal Lake; four daughters: Ellen Robbins of Kerrville, Texas; Grace Culhane of Palatine, Illinois; Catherine Mortensen and her husband John of Britt, Iowa; Nancy Buns and her husband Maurice of Woden, Iowa; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
