Emily Hill, 71, of Kanawha passed away Friday, December 9, 2022 at MercyOne North Iowa Hospice in Mason City. Memorial services for Emily Hill will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Ewing Funeral Home, 118 East Second Street in Kanawha with Pastor Jason Semans officiating. Private family burial will take place at a later date. Visitation for Emily Hill will be held from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Ewing Funeral Home in Kanawha. Emily Marie Hill was born February 4, 1951 to Harold and Audrey (Fosen) Hill. She was raised and educated in Kanawha, graduating from Kanawha High School. Following high school, Emily attended beauty school and made her home in Manchester, Iowa, where she worked as a beautician and in daycare for more than 30 years before returning to Kanawha in the early 2000's to care for her parents. Emily was a member of the Kanawha Lutheran Church, American Legion Auxiliary and the Preservation Project for the Liberty #5 school museum. She was an avid Elvis Presley fan and enjoyed reading. Emily is survived her siblings, Rex (Deb) Hill of Kanawha, Spencer (Joice) Hill of Kanawha and Teresa (Duane) Hermen of Mason City; nieces and nephews Remington (fiancé Jessie Bonte) Hill (and children Kelli (her children Josie and Maverick), Liliana, Ethan and Julia), Molly (Adam) Bird (and children Teaghan, Colin, Cooper, Tenley and Tatum), Haley (Eric) Monson (and children Zack, Levi and Jagger), Lanse (Emily) Hill (and children Aspen and Ruger), Nathanial, Patrea, Hillary and Aaron (and children Jared, Keyona, and Ashton); along with other relatives and friends. Emily was preceded in death by her parents and her aunts Wanda Belden and Eva Johnson.
