Esther Abbas Dickmeyer, 87, passed away peacefully January 4, 2020 in Britt. Esther was born in Lakota, Iowa, graduated from Titonka High School and married Ordel Dickmeyer in 1949.  They were married in Seattle, Washington and they lived in Washington state until 1994.  They resided in Buffalo Center, Iowa and more recently, in Britt. Esther was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church, belonged to the American Legion and was a community volunteer. She and Ordel traveled the width and breath of the country and enjoyed camping.  She has enjoyed enduring friendships, close bonds with her family and her marriage has been a love story that lasted over 70 years. Esther is survived by her sister, Fannie (Warren), her husband, Ordel, her two children, Robert (Deborah) and Barbara (Norm).  Esther also has five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Services will be held at a later date.
