Obituary


Esther Louise Gertrude Conrad, 85, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 1999 at Concord Care Center in Garner, Iowa.

Esther, the daughter of Ira and Frances (Bonin) Danger, was born December 31, 1913 near Alden, Iowa in Hardin County.  She attended country school in Hardin County, and later worked for a time, at the Swift Company.

Esther was united in marriage with Ernest Conrad on November 20, 1933 in Albert Lea, Minnesota.  After living in several areas throughout the mid-west, the couple settled in Iowa Falls, where Esther was a wife and homemaker.

Esther moved to Garner in 1980 after the death of her husband, Ernest.  She lived for a time in Britt.  Esther became a resident of Concord Care Center in 1997.  She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and embroidery work.  She also had a great love for cooking and baking.  She was a member Immanuel Lutheran in Iowa Falls, and later St. Paul's Lutheran in Garner.

Esther is survived by a daughter Darlene Bridges and her husband, Ronald of Garner; a son, Richard of Garner, nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one sister Irene Kent of Iowa Falls, Iowa; two brothers Harold Danger of Buckeye, Iowa and George Danger and his wife Ethel of Rockford, Illinois.

She was precede in death by her parents, her husband, an infant son, grandson Barry Bridges in 1997, and five brothers.
