Etta M. (Bird) Mull, 66, of Forest City, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2024 at her home in rural Forest City. Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 3:00 PM, Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Ewing Funeral Home, 178 Center Street West in Britt. Graveside services for Etta M. Mull will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Evergreen Cemetery in Britt. Etta Mae (Bird) Mull, the daughter of Florence (VanDusseldorp) and Kenneth Bird, Sr., was born on November 8, 1957 in Britt, Iowa. She grew up in Britt and graduated from Britt High School in 1976. She was united in marriage to David Mull on May 30, 1990 at Pilot Knob State Park. The couple built their dream home outside of Forest City in 2005 and have been enjoying the tranquility of the wildlife and nature. Etta worked at Bill's Foods as an Aisle Manager and enjoyed her time there. After she retired due to health issues, Etta enjoyed reading, spending time with her cats and taking care of her beautiful house plants. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Dave Mull of Forest City; sister Sally (Bob) Haag of Algona; sister-in-law Diane Bird; brother-in-law Wayne Christensen of Algona along with nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Karen Christensen and brother Kenneth Bird.
