Eugene T. Murray, 68, of Goldfield passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at his home in Goldfield. Eugene Thomas Joseph Murray, the son of Thomas and Evelyn (Zobeck) Murray, was born November 24, 1952 in Elma, Iowa. He attended Charles City High School and started farming. Eugene dutifully served in the United States Marines Corps from 1971 until he was honorably discharged in 1973. He was united in marriage with Barbara Schallock on May 5, 1973. To this union three girls were born Tammy, Tina and Susan. Eugene worked as a baker before being employed at the Webster City Freeman Journal. In his free time he enjoyed watching tv, helping his neighbors, and telling jokes. He loved family time and was either playing phone tag with family or spending time with his great-grandchildren. He is survived by Barb Murray of Humboldt; daughters Tammy (Dale) Fedkenheuer of Goldfield, Tina Murray of Webster City and Susan (Joe Kunz) Rivera of Humboldt; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters Marlene (Jerry) Ennen, Geraldine (Lou) Droste and Jennifer (Calvin) Marvin along with many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, brother Dean Murray and great-granddaughter Paisley.
