Obituary
Evelyn Haviland, 89, of Kanawha passed away Sunday, September 17, 2000 at the Kanawha Community Home in Kanawha.
Evelyn the daughter of Charles and Catherine (Taylor) Gardener was born February 22, 1911 in Webster City, Iowa. She later moved to the Blairsburg area. Evelyn was united in marriage with Harold Haviland on September 3, 1927 in Webster City. The couple farmed in the Blairsburg, Woolstock, and Vincent areas, before moving to Kanawha in 1946.
Evelyn was employed for a number of years by various businesses in Kanawha. On October 6, 1999, she became a resident of the Kanawha Community Home.
She was a member of the Kanawha Lutheran Church.
She is survived by one son, Gene and his wife Bev, of San Diego, California; one granddaughter and one grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Harold on February 6, 1997.
