Obituary


Felix Schultz, 81, of Duncan passed away Sunday, March 27, 2005, at Hospice of North Iowa in Mason City.

Felix Hubert Schultz, the son of Gregory and Anna (Kulla) Schultz, was born October 30, 1923, in Wells, Minnesota.  He attended country schools in the Wells area and helped his dad on the family farm.  Felix served in the United States Army with the 6th Cavalry Reconnaissance Division in Germany during WWII.

On February 6, 1947, Felix was united in marriage with Jane Nowak in Wells.  The couple farmed in the Wells area until 1967, when they moved to the Britt area. Felix was employed at Iowa Mold Tool in Garner for  20 years, retiring in 1984.

Felix enjoyed spending time with his family; he also enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and fishing.

He was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Duncan and the Knight's of Columbus.

Felix is survived by daughter, Judy Deetz and husband, Steve of Charles City; a son, William Schultz of Britt;grandchildren: Rachel and Scott; sister, Victoria Sonnek and husband Donald, of Wells, Minnesota; brothers: Leo Schultz and wife Sharon, Eugene "Bud" and wife Bonita, of Longmont, Colorado, Donald Schultz and wife Laurie of Colorado, Roger and wife Corrine, of Albert Lea, Minnesota, Lavern Schultz of Reinbeck, Marilyn Schultz of Wells, Minnesota; several nieces, nephews, and other family members.

He was preceded in death bu his parents, wife Jane in 2002, three brothers: Fritz, Quentin, and LeRoy, and one brother in infancy.
