Obituary
Florence M. Norstrud, 85, of Britt, born October 17, 1922, daughter of George and Alice Krambeer joined her Lord and Savior Tuesday, June 17, 2008.
Funeral services for Florence Norstrud will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at 10:30 AM at the First Lutheran Church in Britt with Pastor Lee Nelson and Janelle Siffring AiM officiating. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Britt.
Visitation for Florence Norstrud will be held on Monday, June 23, 2008 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the Ewing Funeral Chapel, 178 Center Street West, in Britt and continue one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
On October 19, 1940 she was united in marriage to Iven R. Norstrud of Forest City, Iowa, at the United Methodist Church in Britt.
She enjoyed family as well as Church activities most of her life. Her Church was First Lutheran of Britt, where many dear and lasting friendships were enjoyed. Her joys came from being with her life long mate…Iven and other family/friends. Sharing with others in so many ways. She will indeed be missed.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Iven and daughter Jean Hochhaus of Britt; son Terry and wife Rita of Fernandina Beach, Florida.
Other survivors are her grandchildren…Tam and husband Randy Oettchen of Gladbrook, Iowa, Deb and husband David Eickholt of Maxwell, Iowa, William Hochhaus and Anet Ranaldo of Los Angeles, California, Julie Hochhaus of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Sheila Norstrud of Yulee, Florida, Andrew Norstrud and wife Judy of Tampa, Florida.
Florence will also be remembered and cherished by her great-grandchildren: Adam, Emily, Brandon, Richard, Megan, Kayla, Nicholas, Eva, Jane and Spencer. Some will have memories…others will build memories from stories yet to be told…WE LOVE YOU GRANDMA.
She will also be remembered by her sisters Vera of Des Moines, Iowa, Pearl of Mankato, Minnesota, as well as brother George and wife Marcella of Shellsburg, Iowa, sisters-in-law: Ruth Friest of Britt and Ila Martin of Mesa, Arizona…countless nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
We will cherish the time we were given to share with Florence…whether we call her Florence, Mom, Grandma, Aunt or Friend, she will be fondly remembered and missed.
Preceding Florence in her journey, were her parents George and Alice Krambeer, 2 brothers Leo and Clifford, 3 sisters, Marie, Alice, Clara, and her son Iven Richard Norstrud, Jr.
