Obituary
Frances Marie Tegland, age 90, of Belmond, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015 at the Rehabilitation Center of Belmond.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in rural Belmond. Burial took place at Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion.
Frances Marie, daughter of Edd and Della (Bayliss) Rayl, was born on August 3, 1924 in Rowan. She grew up and attended school in Rowan and Clarion.
She was united in marriage to Otto Joseph Tegland on August 12, 1944 at the Lutheran Parsonage in Belmond. They were blessed with a daughter Constance Marie. Frances was a great baker and homemaker. Her grandchildren couldn't wait to get to Grandmas' for some of her baked goodies. She did child care for Darcy Kuhlers. She loved taking care of her beautiful roses and iris.
Frances is survived by her husband of 70 years, Joe; daughter Constance (Bob) Loux of Clarion; three grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister Marilyn Schultz of Des Moines; and two sisters-in-law Ilene Kalkwarf and Doris Dorr of Belmond.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Betty, brother Jimmie and two brothers-in-law.
