Frankie J. Negrete, 70 of Clive, formerly of Belmond, passed away Friday,
January 15, 2021 at his home in Clive.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Frankie Negrete will be held on Friday, January
22, 2021 at 10:30 AM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 1207 3rd Street
North East in Belmond with Father Jerry Blake officiating. Graveside services
will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery in Belmond.
Visitation for Frankie Negrete will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2021 from
5:00 – 7:00 PM at Ewing Funeral Home, 111 Luick's Lane South in Belmond, and
will continue one hour prior to Mass at the church on Friday morning.
Due to current regulations, face masks are required and social distancing
measures are encouraged.
Frankie Joseph Negrete, the son of Joseph and Mary (Argumedo) Negrete, was born
on July 1, 1950 at Belmond, Iowa. He lived most of his life in Belmond. He was
employed by Hagie Manufacturing Company in the painting booth before he moved to
the Des Moines area.
Frankie kept busy in the Des Moines area. He liked going out to supper with
friends, enjoyed different events at the Iowa Events Center, attended Easter
Seals Life Club multiple times a week and even participated in the Special
Olympics. He always looked forward to spending time with his family.
He will be remembered as a kind gentle soul and as a friend to everyone.
He is survived by his brothers Dennis (Beatrice) Negrete of Belmond and David
(Kayla) Negrete of Grimes, his nephews, niece, great nephews, great nieces, and
many uncles, aunts and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
