Gloria Wiemann, 80, of Clarion, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at the Clarion Wellness and Rehabilitation Center in Clarion. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Ewing Funeral Home, 1801 Central Avenue East in Clarion. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Ewing Funeral Home, 1801 Central Avenue East in Clarion. Gloria Jeanne (Lesher) Wiemann, the daughter of Dannie and Genevive (Boswell) Lesher, was born July 19th, 1942 in Clarion, Iowa. Gloria grew up between Clarion and Webster City and graduated from Clarion High School in 1960. After high school, Gloria was united in marriage to David Wiemann at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. To this union, two daughters were born. Gloria, being a serviceman's wife, raised her family all over the United States and Europe. The couple later divorced. In 1979, Gloria moved back to Clarion where she worked various places including Rowan Tap, Hawk Golf Bags and most recently Mosiac. In her free time, Gloria loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be remembered for being fun and always ready for a good time. Gloria is survived by her two daughters, Starla (Jerry) Chapman of Clarion and Denise "Susie" (Dave) Chapman of Fort Dodge; grandchildren Michael (Jessie) Chapman, Shaun Chapman, Jessica (Kolby) Hamilton and Jennifer (Chase) Michehl; 6 great grandchildren; sister Karen Wason along with extended family and friends.
