Obituary
Gottlieb Lang, 91, of Corwith, passed away Sunday, November 21, 1999 at the Kanawha Community Home in Kanawha, Iowa.
Gottlieb, the son of Gottlieb and Christina (Holzwarth) Lang, was born in Menno, South Dakota on November 11, 1908. He was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith.
Gottlieb was united in marriage with Elsie Schaeffer on November 26, 1931 in Menno, South Dakota. The couple moved to west central Minnesota in 1954. Gottlieb farmed in various communities in Minnesota and Iowa, retiring to Corwith in 1971.
Gottlieb was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Corwith. He loved horses and cars.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie; two daughters: Berniece Petrie and her husband, Blaine of Long Prairie, Minnesota, Eleanor Halter and her husband, Russ or Peoria, Arizona; three sons: John and his wife, Ruth of Kanawha, Larry and his wife, Karen of Rockwell, and Allen and his wife, Chris of Kanawha; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchildren, and one sister Elizabeth, of Menno, South Dakota.
Gottlieb was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters: Maggie, Martha, and Lea; and one brother Phillip.
