Gregory A. Pekkala, 58, of Webster City, passed away Monday, October 8, 2018. Memorial services for Greg Pekkala will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 4:00 PM at Ewing Funeral Home, 1801 Central Avenue East in Clarion. Visitation will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 PM on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Ewing Funeral Home in Clarion. Gregory A. Pekkala, CRNA, ARNP, 58, was born in Superior, WI. Greg graduated from UW-Milwaukee and earned his Anesthesia Certificate from St. Francis/UW-LaCrosse. He practiced anesthesia in IA, WI, and MN. Greg was also an adjunct instructor at multiple universities and he served in the US Army Reserves from 1980 – 2002. Greg enjoyed hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling, and was an avid gardener and baker. He is survived by his children, Brandon Pekkala (Laura), Blake Pekkala, and Amelia Harju; stepsons, Jacob Miller and Hugo Rodrigues; grandchildren, Oliviah, Annelise, and Gabriel; and brother, John Pekkala (Lisa). He was preceded in death by his parents, Toivo (Teve) and Arlene Pekkala, and brother Daniel Hawkin.
