Gregory L. Myer

Gregory L. Myer, 63 of Kanawha, passed away November 2, 2015, at Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt.

Funeral services for Greg Myer will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2015, at 11:00 AM at the Kanawha Lutheran Church, 124 West Fourth Street in Kanawha with Pastors Geoffrey and Char White officiating. Burial will be held in Holmes Lutheran Cemetery in Holmes.

Visitation for Greg Myer will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at Ewing Funeral Chapel, 178 Center Street West in Britt, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.

Gregory Lyle Myer was born on December 9, 1951, in Fort Dodge to Lyle and Marjorie (Andersen) Myer. He was a very hard worker and was employed at Kiefer Manufacturing, Winnebago Industries and later drove a semi truck. He was a loving son, father, and grandfather who loved spending time with his grandkids. Fishing, deer hunting, camping, playing cards and shooting pool were among some of his favorite hobbies. Those who truly got to know Greg saw a man who loved his family and always wanted to provide for those he cared for.

Greg is survived by his mother, Marge of Kanawha; sons, Cory (Libby) of Buffalo Center, Cary (Bridget) of Angola, Indiana and Devon of Fort Dodge; grandchildren, Zachary, Nadalyn, Alayna, Maizey and Marisa;  sisters, Cheryl Dennard of California and Janene Cloud of California and eight nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lyle Myer and brother, Gary Myer.
