Hannah Susan Andrews, 87, of Belmond, went to be with her God on Saturday,
August 26, 2006 at the Belmond Medical Center in Belmond.
Funeral services for Hannah Andrews will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, August
30, 2006 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Belmond. Pastor Gary Schneider will
officiate. Burial will take place in Graceland Cemetery near Rowan.
Visitation for Hannah Andrews will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, August
29, 2006 at the Dugger Ewing Funeral Home, 111 Luick's Lane South in Belmond and
one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes that memorials be directed to the Calvary
Baptist Church in Belmond, Wright County Hospice and /or the Belmond Medical
Center.
Hannah, the daughter of J. L. and Ada Towns Marlow, was born July 16, 1919 in
Bronwood, Georgia. She graduated from high school and business college in
Chattanooga, Tennessee. Hannah was then employed by several business offices in
Chattanooga prior to marriage.
On January 6, 1950, Hannah married Ronald Dale Andrews in Chattanooga,
Tennessee. The couple farmed near Rowan for 20 years, then moved to an acreage
north of Belmond where they lived until moving to the Belmond Community
Apartments in January of 1997.
Hannah was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Belmond.
Hannah is survived by two sons: John Andrews and wife Paulette of Belmond, James
Andrews and wife Sue of Des Moines; two daughters: Lynda and husband Paul
Shenefield of Tennessee, Rhonda and husband Oscar Knott of Tennessee;
grandchildren: Wendy and Nik Nielsen and Krisha Andrews, Mindy, Audrey, and
Laurel Andrews, Ethan, Gina, and Joya Shenefield; step-grandchildren: Jim Knott
and wife Amber, Traci and husband Mike Hermes and nine step-great-grandchildren;
two brother: Dr. Broadus Marlow and wife Louise and John L. Marlow, Jr. and wife
Barbara all of Georgia; two sisters: Bettie and husband Robert Butler of Arizona
and Bobbie and Bruce Mahoney of Tennessee; two sisters-in-law: Bernice Andrews
and Enid Andrews both of Belmond, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ronald, grandson Dennis John
Andrews; one brother, two sisters.
