Harvey A. "Mick" Nelson, 63, was born October 24, 1932, in Britt, Iowa to Harvey
and Josephine Nelson.
On October 20, 1951 he was united in marriage with Nancy Lloyd at the
Evangelical Free Church in Britt. To this union two children were born, Harvey
David and JoEllen. Harvey was a doer of good deeds, always giving, near asking
for anything in return. He loved trapping, hunting, and fishing with his son,
Harvey, grandson, Christopher (Spike) and friends. He also loved going camping
with his wife, Nancy and grandson. He worked for the railroad for many years,
owned and operated North Iowa Fur and Wool. He also did construction work until
his recent ill health.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; his son, Harvey and his wife, Charlene of Ft.
Lauderdale, Florida; his daughter, JoEllen and her husband, Allen (A.J.) Johnson
of Kanawha; three special grandchildren, Christina Nelson, Christopher (Spike)
Johnson and Holly Nelson; two brothers: Bill and his wife, Heddy of Ft.
Lauderdale, Florida; Jim and his wife, JoAnn of Grand Junction, Colorado; three
sisters: Marie Vavrik and Polly Drabek both of Britt; Edith Huisingae and her
husband, Paul of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; many nieces and nephews and his
beloved dog, Mazie B.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
