Hazel Ruth Belknap, 86, of Mason City, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2001,
at Heritage Health Care Center in Mason City.
Hazel, the daughter of Walter and Ida (Marth) Dolphin, was born April 12, 1915
in Britt. She grew up in Britt and graduated from Britt High School in 1934.
She was united in marriage with Clarene Cline, the couple made their home in
Mason City. To this union two children were born. She was united in marriage
with Wayne Hamilton in June of 1951. Wayne passed away in 1952. Hazel then
married Everett Belknap in 1958 in Waterloo. Everett passed away in 1967.
In 1986, Hazel moved from Waterloo to her home in Mason City, where she resided
until becoming a resident of Heritage Care Center in Mason City.
Hazel is survived by her son Kenny Cline and his special friend Carole Taylor of
Mason City; four grandchildren: Mark Arges of Owatonna, Minnesota, Dana Jons of
Germany, Tami Jesudass of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Tony Cline of Ft. Smith,
Arkansas; nine great-grandchildren; sister Velma Bird of Britt; three
sisters-in-law: Ann Dolphin of Kansas City, Kansas, Jean Dolphin of San Jose,
California, and Evelyn Dolphin of Polson, Montana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, one daughter Colleen
Arges in 1964, and five brothers.
