Obituary


Hazel Edna Streeter, 80, passed away Sunday, September 17, 1995 at the Kanawha Community Home.

Hazel was born January 11, 1915, on a farm near Corwith, the daughter of Sam and Lottie (Price) Hersbergen.  She attended country schools and graduated from Corwith High School in 1932. On August 15, 1940 she was united in marriage with Wayne A. Streeter.  The couple farmed for many years near the Woden area.  In 1970 they retired from farming and moved into Britt.  Hazel enjoyed quilting, sewing and crafts.  She is remembered as always willing to help others when needed.  She was a member of the United Methodist Church, UMW, and the United Methodist Women Sewing Group.

Hazel is survived by two daughters: Joyce Streeter of Britt and Diana Pelham and her husband, Randy of Pleasant Hill, Iowa; two sons: Dwayne Streeter and his wife, Paula of Carmel, Indiana and Dwight Streeter of Springfield, Missouri; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister: Edith Krause of Corwith, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, an infant son and two brothers.
