Obituary
Helen Marie Ingebretson Birch, 61, formerly of the Forest City and the Britt, Iowa areas, passed away May 7, 1991 at her home in Mercede, Texas.
Helen, the daughter of John and Gladus (Plantz) Smit was born October 11, 1929 at Kanawha, Iowa. She received her education in the Kanawha and Crystal Lake Schools.
On May 2, 1971 Helen was united in marriage with Norman Lee. The couple made their home in Britt. Following the death of her husband, Helen was since resided in Texas.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; a step-father, Floyd Anderson and one brother, Larry Anderson.
Survivors include two daughters: Cheryl "Cherry" Hocum and her husband, Douglas of Denver, Colorado and Brenda Ingelbretson of Minneapolis, Minnesota; one son Gary Ingelbretson of Lake Mills, Iowa; four grandchildren; three sisters: Tena Appelhons and her husband, Jake of Crystal Lake, Iowa; Lillian Charbonneaux and her husband, Roy of Britt, Iowa; Vera Hinz and her husband, Herb of Charles City, Iowa.
