Henry A. Christians

Henry A. Christians, 78, of Kanawha passed away Friday, August 17, 2001 at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt.

Henry, the son of Al and Abbie (Reikens) Christains, was born January 31, 1923 on the family farm near Kanawha.  He grew up south of Kanawha where he attended country school Norway #3.

Henry was united in marriage to Evelyn DeBoer on January 26, 1949 in Hollandale, MN.  The couple made their home south of Kanawha where they raised their family.  Henry farmed his entire life in the area.

Henry was a member of the Wright Christian Reformed Church.

Henry is survived by his wife, Evelyn; a daughter, Lavaun Wind and her husband, Ken of Clear Lake; four sons, Stu and his wife, Jean of Marshalltown, David and his wife, Donna of Loveland, CO, Bruce and his wife, Stephanie of Northfield, MN. and Craig and his wife, Arlys of Cedar Rapids; eight grandchildren, Brandon, Kevin, Michelle, Abby, Jessica, Brett, Jenna and Elliott; two sisters, Stella Baker of Kanawha and Gladys Wessels of Klemme; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers-in-law; and two nephews.
