Henry "Hank" Delger

Henry "Hank" Delger, 93, of Clarion, died Monday, January 29, 2007 at Wright Medical Center in Clarion, Iowa. Henry, son of Gertie Delger Weston was born July 17, 1913 in Wright County. On February 25, 1933 he was united in marriage to Bessie "Betty" Anderson of Clarion. Following their marriage the couple farmed in the Kanawha, Clarion area. To this union two children were born, son Robert and daughter, Sharon. Henry and Betty would have been married 74 years in February 2007. One of Henry's real joys was having his ponies, hitching them up and going for a drive. Henry retired from farming in 1983 and moved to Clarion where he still lived until December 2006 where he entered the USA Health Care Center in Clarion. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Clarion. He is survived by his wife, Betty; son Robert (Beverly); grandchildren Connie (Marvin) Kiener, David (Patti) Delger, Tonia Nemechck; eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, one grandchild and one great-grandchild. He will be missed by all the family and friends.
