Iven Richard Norstrud, the son of Ole and Stella (Larson) Norstrud was born on March 14, 1921 in Forest City, Iowa.  He was united in marriage to Florence Krambeer on October 19, 1940 at the United Methodist Church in Britt.

He started Norco Manufacturing Company to build parts he created originally for Britt Tech and after his retirement from Britt Tech, he continued expanding Norco Manufacturing to build parts for several other companies.  He closed the door of Norco in July of 2010 at the age of 89.  He moved to Florida to live with his son shortly after the death of his wife.
