Jane A. (Wesenberg) Moore, 74, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, Illinois. Graveside service for Jane Moore will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Morgan Methodist Church Cemetery, rural Dows. Jane Ann, daughter of Dwight and Betty (Hackbarth) Wesenberg, was born on April 23, 1948 in Hampton, Iowa. Jane grew up on a farm outside of Dows, Iowa and graduated from Dows High School in 1966. Following high school, Jane attended nursing school in Des Moines, Iowa. She then moved to Kirkland, Illinois where she worked as a nurse at the clinic: it was there she met the love of her life, John Moore, on a blind date. On July 13, 1985, Jane was united in marriage to John in Ankeny, Iowa. Jane continued to care for her patients as they made their home in Kirkland, Illinois and later moved to Rockford, Illinois. Jane retired from nursing in 2010. Jane enjoyed reading in her spare time and found mystery novels especially captivating. Her passions included sewing, quilting, needle point, and stained glass arts. Additionally, Jane's pet cats were treasured friends who were always special to her. Jane is survived by her husband John Moore of Rockford, Illinois; brother Dan (April) Wesenberg of Indiana; nephew Daniel Wesenberg of Indiana; and many other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Dwight and Betty Wesenberg.
