Jean R. Stetson

Jean Rose Stetson, age 86, of Clarion, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2005, with her loving Family at her side, and went to meet her Lord in Glory at the Wright Medical Center in Clarion.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 18, 2005 at the Ewing Dugger Helgeson Funeral Home 602 North Main, Clarion, Iowa.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 17, 2005 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Ewing Dugger Helgeson Funeral Home, 602 North Main in Clarion.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Wright County Hospice, or to the Wright Medical Foundation in memory of Jean Stetson.

Jean Rose Stetson was born October 18, 1918, the daughter of Eugene Rose and Amy Records Rose, in Leeds Maine. Jean graduated High School in Kents Hill, Maine; she then graduated Bliss Business School in Lewiston, Maine.

Jean was united in Marriage to Joseph Eugene Stetson on February 19, 1938 in Wayne, Maine; he preceded her in death on February 12, 2002.

Jean Stetson lived in Leeds, Maine and in May of 2000 Jean and her husband Joseph moved to Clarion, she was currently a resident of the Meadows in Clarion.

Jean attended the United Presbyterian Church in Clarion, Iowa.

Jean is survived by a daughter Patricia DeCoster and her husband Jack of Clarion, four Grandsons Donald DeCoster of Clarion, Peter DeCoster and wife Alina of Clarion, Rodney DeCoster of Clarion, and Jay DeCoster and wife Gina of Fort Dodge; 8 Great-Grandchildren, and one promise to be born in January. Jean is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph, a son Joseph E. Stetson Jr. (June 1975) and 5 sisters.
