Jeanette, the daughter of Ben and Louisa (Hubbard) Johns, was born April 11, 1930 in Britt, Iowa.  She attended the Britt Community Schools and graduated in 1947.

Jeanette was united in marriage with Robert Bravick at the Little Brown Church in Nashua on March 13, 1948.  The couple made their home in Britt where they raised their family.  Jeanette was employed at the Britt grade school as a secretary for many years.

Jeanette and Bob spent their winters in Weslaco, Texas with old and new friends.  She enjoyed her many fishing and camping trips with Bob.  She loved sewing and quilt making.  Her children and their friends grew up with her wonderful homemade chocolate chip cookies.  She had even mastered the art of making divinity, which everyone looked forward to at Christmas time.  Spending time with her 2 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren during the holidays always brought a smile to her face.

In November 2004, Jeanette moved to the Summit House.  She enjoyed living there for 6 years.  Due to her failing health she moved to Westview Care Center in December of 2010.

Jeanette was a member of the Britt United Methodist Church.  She loved making quilts and was active in the sewing group, which met weekly at the church.  She had lovingly made quilts for all of her family members.  She was also a member of the UMW, Legion Auxiliary and Hospital Auxiliary.

Jeanette is survived by her one daughter, Rebecca and her husband Don of Clear Lake, their family:  Rachel and Corey Vespestad and Talia and Sidra of Huxley and Andy and Jessica Newton and Silas, Matteus, Henrik and Greger of Alma, Colorado; and one son David Bravick and his wife Jane of Silver City, New Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bob; and siblings.
