Jeffrey Weidner, 50, of Kanawha passed away peacefully Monday, November 15, 2021
at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City.
His family will honor him with small family gatherings. No formal service will
take place.
Jeffrey Derek, son of Paul and Mary (Fultz) Weidner, was born on December 16,
1970 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He grew up in Fort Wayne and graduated from Tri
Junior-Senior High School in Straughn, Indiana. After high school, Jeff took
college courses online. He later was in management at various pizza restaurants
and was a Youth Pastor before he started trucking for Roadlink out of Minnesota.
He also was an Individual Support Professional and worked in management in
Indiana and Texas with individuals having developmental disabilities and was an
Independent Contractor for Mosaic at Home in the same field in Iowa.
In 1995, Jeff was united in marriage to Kathleen (Eykholt) Humbert and welcomed
her two daughters. Together they had two sons. Jeff and Kathy moved to Kanawha
in 2016.
Jeff was a very humble, gentle, patient and loving husband, father and
grandfather. He majored in sarcasm and always had a funny, witty thing to say.
Jeff loved his family deeply. His prayer was that God would use him to draw
others closer to Him.
Jeff is survived by his wife Kathy; children Danyelle (Austin) Yoder, Katie
Pratt, Ethan (Rachel) Weidner, and Grant (Alyssa) Weidner; grandchildren Jace
and June Yoder, Espen Pratt, and Aiden and Lily Weidner; and siblings JP Wideman
and Marta (Harold) Liechty.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
