Jennie Vrieze, 88, passed away Saturday, February 4, 1995 at the Good Samaritan Center in Forest City. Jennie was born February 17, 1906, in Kanawha, Iowa, to Pete and Della (Jans) Luppen.  She attended country schools in Kanawha.  She was united in marriage to Harm Vrieze on February 27, 1935.  They made their home in Kanawha and Corwith communities.  In September of 1977 she moved to Britt.  Then in 1991 she became a resident at the Good Samaritan Center in Forest City.  Jennie loved to crochet, garden and do needlework.  She was a member of the First Reformed Church in Buffalo Center. Jennie is survived by her children and their families, Leonard and his wife, Kathy Vrieze and their children, Debbie, Danny, Peggy and Randy; Duane and his wife, Evelyn Vrieze and their children, Jon, Molly, Ann and Amy; Larry and his wife, LaVonne Vrieze and their daughter, Lori; Darlene Wentworth and her husband, Douglas and their children, Mark and Lisa; seventeen great-grandchildren; one sister, Anna Vrieze of Britt; many nieces, nephews and cousins in Iowa and in Holland. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harm in 1976, four sisters and three brothers.
