Jo Lee Johnson, 68, of Britt, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Hancock County Health Systems in Britt. Jo Lee's family will host a Celebration of Life at a later date. Jo Lee, daughter of Denny and Marjorie (Baumgartner) Johnson, was born on December 21, 1954 in Britt. Jo Lee grew up in Britt and graduated from high school in 1973. Jo Lee worked various jobs over the years, including Britt Tech, Supervalu Grocery Store, and most recently IMT. If she wasn't working, Jo Lee was often crocheting or watching westerns on TV. She made everyone in her family a blanket. Her family was most important to her and loved to spend time together. Jo Lee also had a love for animals and always had a pet or two at home with her. Jo Lee is survived by her sister Barbara (Alan) Brown of Britt, sister Dixie Johnson of Cedar Rapids, sister Tammy Johnson-Benavides of Britt, brother Mark (Abby) Johnson of Indiana, and brother Alan Johnson of Florida; nieces and nephews James (Kari) Brown, David (Erin) Brown, Justin Rouse, Brandis (Josh) Jarr, Dakotah Young (Katie), Tristan Young (Jasmine), Jaden Young (Kiarra), Laney Johnson, and Denny Johnson; and great-nieces and nephews Taylor (Dylan) Householder, Dylan (Lacey) Brown, Brooklyn (Jeremiah) Clark, Logan Brown, Clayton (Ale) Brown, Alexis Scott, Zoe Rouse, Roman Rouse, Justis Jarr, Phenyx Jarr, Vega Jarr, Kyrah Young, Adrian Young, Nellii Young, Jordan Young, Ohdyn Householder, Onyxx Householder, Amara Brown, Celeigh Clark, Jordan Clark, Amelia Brown, and Leila Brown. She is preceded in death by her parents Denny and Margie Johnson; grandparents; and nephew Victor Brown.
