Obituary


John H. Kruger, 70, passed away Thursday, December 29, 1994 at Hancock County Memorial Hospital.

John was born on May 18, 1924, near Ashton, Iowa to George and Henrietta (Stubble) Kruger.  He attended country schools near the family farm.  He moved to George, Iowa with his parents as a child.  As a young man, he made his profession of faith and was baptized in the First Baptist Church.  He was united in marriage to Ardell Luppen on January 26, 1954 at the Christian Reformed Church parsonage in Kanawha.  He worked on a farm near Corwith and later moved to a farm near Wesley.  In 1987 the couple moved into Britt.  He was devoted to his wife, Ardell, and his family.  He was loved by his family, grandchildren and friends.  He enjoyed farming and woodworking.  John was a member of the Christian Reformed Church of Woden were he served as a church elder, deacon and usher.  He attneded Men's Society.

John is survived by his wife, Ardell of Britt; their children, Delaine Fedders and her husband, Ken and their children Andrew, Michael and Ryan of Britt, Donyce Clement and her husband, Dennis and their children Matthew and Christina of North Bend, Nebraska, Kevin and his wife Vana and their children, Nickolaus and Rebecka of Wesley, and Marjean Kruger of Clear Lake, Iowa; two sisters: Florence Arends and her husband, Sweer of Adrian, Minnesota and Viola Kellen and her husband, Don of Aurora, Colorado; two brothers, Albertus Kruger and his wife, Grace of Britt and Daryl Kruger and his wife, Carolyn of Elsworth, Minnesota; one stepsister, Kathryn Kruger of Sutherland, Iowa, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother and a nephew, Richard Luppen.
