Obituary
John M. Eekhoff, 74, of Kanawha, died Wednesday (June 18, 1997) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center, Mason City.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Kanawha Christian Reformed Church, with the Rev. G. David Daley officiating. Burial will be in Amsterdam Township Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Ewing Dugger Funeral Home.
John M. Eekhoff was born March 28, 1923, at Wellsburg.
John is survived by his wife, Viola; two sons: Kevin and his wife, Gail and their children, Matthew, Mark, Melinda and Megan of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Vern and his wife, Jaci and their children, Elizabeth, Veronica and Amanda of Sanborn, Iowa; one daughter: Holly and her husband, John Lang and their children, Bret, Pamela, Ashley and Emily of Kanawha, Iowa; two daughters-in-law: Kristen and children, Archie and Michael; Darlene and her husband, Tim Veach and children, Sarah, Lisa and Chad Eekhoff of Clear Lake, Iowa; five brothers and one sister.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two sons - John Michael and Timothy Ray, a grandson - Thomas John and one brother.
