John P. Reinken, 80 of Britt, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Muse Norris Inpatient Hospice Unit in Mason City. Burial for John Reinken will be at a later date. John Paul Reinken, the son of John B. and Ellen (Knapper) Reinken, was born October 19, 1938 in Britt, Iowa. Although John lived in Britt his whole life his occupations let him travel the country.  He was certified welder and later drove Truck, hauling mostly livestock.  He could tell you any road in any state. John enjoyed dirt track racing, riding motorcycles, and especially his dogs who went everywhere with him. John loved to fabricate and build custom machinery for him or anyone that needed help.  John was a tough guy but a tough guy with a heart. John is survived by his children Dorothy Ellen Kennelly of Oklahoma, Douglas John Reinken of Oklahoma, Teresa Kay Olson and her husband, Dan of Kanawha, George "Al" Reinken and his wife, Gina of Oklahoma, and Paula Dee Pals and her husband, Chad of Britt; sister Carol Kaiegl and her husband, Dan of Wisconsin; seven grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard, and grandson Jamie.
