Joy Eileen (Berry) Tillman, the daughter of James and Nellie (Bryan) Berry, was born on October 31, 1935 in Tucson, Arizona.  Joy lived many places including Germany and Spain but she found home in Clarion, Iowa.

She was united in marriage to Jerry Tillman on June 26, 1982 on the home farm.  Joy was always in the restaurant industry and cooked in various places including the hospital, nursing homes and SuperValu. She had a real passion for baking and baked lots of specialty cakes.  Being a great cook and baker, she loved sharing food with her family and rarely liked to eat out unless it was a special trip to Taco-Tico.

Crafts, crocheting, quilting and playing rummikub, pennies and puzzle books were some of Joy’s hobbies.  She also enjoyed going to Festival in the Park, shopping trips with her family and loved getting her fingernails done.  She had a huge spot in her heart for her different pets including dogs, cats and birds.

Joy will be remembered for being a sweetheart who could tease, a caring person who would stand up for friends, spunky, and wanted everyone to remember to take the time to be with family.

Joy is survived by her son Paul Olson of Sierra Vista, Arizona and his daughters Rachelle, Dana (Carlos) and one great-grandchild, and Faith (Ried) and two great-grandchildren; daughter Sharen (Ernie) Lloyd of Centennial, Colorado and their children Travis (Laura) and two great-grandchildren, Crystal and one great-grandchild, and Joshua (Shawna); son Fred Olson of Colorado Springs, Colorado and his children Heather and Joshua; daughter Linda (Chris) Flattery of Carroll, Iowa and their children Paul (fiancée Nicole) and three great-grandchildren and Tami Jo (Dusty) Elston and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, parents-in-law, husband Jerry, son Junior, daughter-in-law Karen, brothers Chet, Bill and John Berry, and sister Thelma Garner.
