Juanita Mae Earp, passed away Friday, July 19, 1991 at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt, Iowa. Juanita, the daughter of James and Gertrude (Price) Earp was born April 6, 1900 at Galesburg, Iowa.  She graduated from Forest City High School as valedictorian of the class of 1919.  She received her Bachelors Degree from the former Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls in 1944 and her Masters Degree from the University of Iowa in 1953.  She taught in Crystal Lake, Forest City, Waverly, Guttenberg, Oskaloosa, Dows and Cedar Rapids School systems. She attended the United Methodist Church in Crystal Lake and United Methodist Women, a 54 year member of the Eastern Star, Senior Citizens and former member of the Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include one sister, Mabel Rensink of Hayfield, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Shirley Earp; three nephews: David, Stephen and Nathan Earp; a niece, Mary Rennells; also 13 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Howard and Claire Earp and a brother-in-law, Jeff Rensink.
