Judith A. Peil (Fjetland), 83, of Belmond, passed peacefully on Monday, September 25, 2023 at her home in Belmond. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at First Reformed Church, 214 Brown Street in Alexander, with Pastor Louie Braum officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to services on Saturday. Judy was born on January 19, 1940 in Belmond, Iowa to Daniel and Sadie Fjetland. She was one of 12 children, with one passing away as an infant. Judy graduated high school from Riceville High School in 1958. She was a member of the 1st Reformed Church in Alexander, Iowa. She loved biking, traveling, casinos, and being with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. Judy had 3 children, Daniel Stromley (Lois), Doug Stromley, and Brenda Brown (Steve Huebsch), 3 stepchildren, Scot Peil (Jennifer), Darren Peil (Ciana), and Julie George. Judy also had 12 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her companion Delbert Pals, sister Betty Dungey of Osage, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren listed above, and numerous nieces and nephews.
