Claude was born on July 29, 1939 to Jule Archie and Fern Fannie (Loux) Claude on
the Loux family farm in Wall Lake Township near Woolstock, Iowa. Frannie moved
into Woolstock on his second birthday, and attended school in the Woolstock,
Wall Lake #9, and Clarion schools where he graduated in 1958. Following high
school, Frannie worked for Shupe Hardware, the Iowa Department of
Transportation, and Hagie's in Clarion prior to becoming self-employed as an
electrician in 1972. Frannie was united in marriage to Beverly Jean Anderson on
June 16, 1962, and to this union, one daughter, Cathy Jo Claude, was born.
Frannie enjoyed going to wrestling meets, vegetable gardening (there wasn't room
for flowers in his garden), reading, and spending time with family and friends.
He was a hard worker who enjoyed the challenge of repairing or rebuilding
anything that wasn't working properly, be it as small as a flashlight, or as
large as a grain dryer. Frannie is survived by his wife, Beverly of Clarion; one
daughter, Cathy of Cassville, Missouri; one granddaughter, Amber (Stan) Powell
of Berryville, Arkansas; one grandson, Tracy Mikesh of Cassville, Missouri; one
great-granddaughter, Alexis Powell; one brother, Gary (Edwina) Claude of Clear
Lake; one niece and three nephews. Frannie is preceded in death by his father,
Jule Archie Claude, on January 31, 1995, and his mother, Fern Claude, on January
18, 2010.
