Kathleen E. Jacobsen, 85, passed away Friday, January 24, 1997, at the Westview Care Center. Kay, the daughter of Winton and Margaret (Davis) Chandler, was born on September 12, 1911, in Rochelle, Illinois.  She received her education in Britt, Iowa. On September 12, 1938, she was united in marriage with Robert V. Jacobson, in Britt, where the couple made their home.  Her family and friends were her enjoyment.  Kay was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Britt.  She was also a member of the Rosary Guild and Catholic Daughters of Americas.  She was a resident of the Westview Care Center since October 1988. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert in 1988; a girl, Mary Jane Fisher in 1988, whom they raised from childhood; two sisters, Lucille & Bernadine; three brothers, Dub, Don and Gene. Survivors include her son, Roger of Britt; a son-in-law, Don Fisher of Boulder, CO; two grandchildren, Steve Fisher of Golden, CO, and Valerie Baylie of Arvada, CO; five great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Betty and her husband, Robert Anderson of Indian Head Park, IL; and many nieces and nephews.
