Obituary


Kendall Ray Weiland, 63, passed away Monday, April 28, 1997, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.

Kendall, the son of Raymond and Dorothy (Angle) Weiland, was born June 2, 1933, in Algona, Iowa.  He attended school in Titonka, graduating from Titonka High School in 1952.  After high school, he served in the U.S. Navy.  On February 23, 1957, he was united in marriage with Beverly Johnson in Algona, Iowa.  The couple made their home for a time in Mason City before they moved to Fairmont, MN, where Kendall started farming.  They lived in Minnesota for six years and then moved to their present home where Kendall continued to farm.

Kendall's family was the most important thing to him.  Although his hobby was farming, he also enjoyed racing and camping.  Kendall was a member of the First Lutheran Church and was a lifelong member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly of Wesley; two daughters, Kathryn Schleuger and her husband, Matthew of Wesley; Kelly Rahm and her husband, Noel of St. Benedict; one son, Timothy and his wife, Lisa of Britt; seven grandchildren; his mother, Dorothy of Algona; one sister, Phyllis Olson and her husband, Larry of Jonesboro, AR; two brothers, Wendel and his wife, Mary of Algona, and Ronald and his wife, Cecilia of Wesley; and several nieces and nephews.

Kendall was preceded in death by his father, Raymond.
